It is important to dedicate at least one page of my website to my Loom-woven flies, because in my opinion fly fishing means using the correct method but above all the right equipment, from the rod, to the silk fly line and the right fly for a particular stream in a certain season and time of day.

Fly fishing is a sport where it is essential to be astute and above all more intelligent than the trout.  In order to do this we must use all the arms in our possession: the fly line must be of a colour that suits and blends in with the surroundings so that you do not spook the fish, the fly which is equally important must imitate the real insect as much as possible in colour and shape.

The flies I have been tying and using for over 25 years, have just these characteristics, i.e realism and naturalism.

These flies have a number of particularities and advantages: the hook is mobile and positioned under the hackle which helps the fly to float better.

The fact that the hook is a separate entity to the fly makes it fit in perfectly with all the currents and riffles in a stream.

The mobile hook also facilitates the hook setting in the trout’s mouth.
